konami owns the two depicted characters from suikoden III, one of my favourite games ever.
uh.... I still don't particularly like albert or the background karah, I hope you like it. it wouldn't have taken quite so long if I hadn't stupidly decided to put albert in right after finishing caesar!
details: [link] <--- his coat trimmings (gah, that took like an hour) [link] <--- his face (tres blotchy, I know, but I wasn't doing a portrait shot.)
Oh, yay! You posted again! xD
Caesar's expression and pose are fantastic. I don't know why you don't like the background, but I really do like it. Nice rich colors throughout the piece, too.
Albert doesn't look as finished as the rest of the elements of the picture; it's almost like he's blending into the background, while Caesar stands out a bit more (I think it's because Caesar has stronger highlights on his face). All the same, this is great work, and I'm happy to see more work from you.
you're totally right, I got tired of drawing Albert near the end and kind of abandoned him. poor Albert. I'm afraid it was laziness on my part^^ 'I'll probably leave the background cause people seem not to hate it as much as I do!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Caesar looks specially good, but I loved both of them strategists.
My loyalties lie with Genso Suikoden II though. But I recognise art when I see it!
